Behind the Scenes: Teaching Me More About Myself

 

As time rolls on, I've found myself starting to run out of ideas for pics on DA. But seeing as how I didn't want to sacrifice the momentum I'd built up over the last few months, I decided to look back into some of the requests that were made of me before I put commissions back on the table.  At the same time, I have made quite a few of these people wait an awfully long time, so I decided I wanted to make it up to some of them.

To that end, we come to this image, which is actually an idea that I'd had in my head for some time.  The story behind the pic sees Mary Jane from Spectacular Spider-Man entering college as a freshman, and over time, coming to discover new things about her own sexuality, thanks in no small part to her sophomore roommate...one Felicia Hardy.  While the idea was mine, I chose to offer it up to a fan of mine on DA as a gift, since he'd made quite a few requests of me and I've made him wait quite a while for some.  One such request was a nude pic of MJ at the beach.  But while I'll probably still do that one in due time, I figured I'd do him one better and offer this pic to him as well.

All-in-all, I'm pretty pleased with the end product.  I had to compromise a little of the original image I had in my head, mostly because it was my first time drawing this particular position, but it still looks good.  I will say that it was a lot more work than I wanted it to be, with more cleanup than expected and a few corrections that had to be made along the way.  But in the end, it still got done and I'm happy.  I hope everyone else feels the same way.
